On October 10, the Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutrality Corporate Strategic Action Summit hosted by the China National Textile and Apparel Council was held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). Xu Yingxin, vice chairman of China National Textile and Apparel Council; Zhang Hongxia, party secretary and general manager of Weiqiao Pioneering Group; Zhang Yanhong, executive director and deputy general manager of Weiqiao Pioneering Group, and vice chairman of Weiqiao Textile Company Limited, and other leaders and industry guests attended the summit.

On behalf of Weiqiao Textile, Zhang Yanhong released the company's "30-60 Carbon Neutrality Acceleration Vision of Climate Innovation ".

Zhang Yanhong, on behalf of Weiqiao Textile, released the acceleration vision of corporate climate innovation 30-60 carbon neutrality.

Zhang Yanhong said that Weiqiao Textile strived to achieve carbon peak in 2023 (the 20th anniversary of the company's listing) and achieve carbon neutrality in its operating scope by 2049 (the 100th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China).

Weiqiao Textile launched the assessment of product life cycle, strengthened technical collaboration with value chain partners, and jointly developed green and low-carbon recycling sustainable materials, reduced the carbon footprint output of Weiqiao textile products, and strived to reduce the product carbon footprint by 50% by 2028, and achieve 100% zero carbonization of textile products in 2046.
