On September 30, Weiqiao Pioneering Group, Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Binzhou Weiqiao–UCAS Research Academy of Advanced Technology signed a cooperation agreement to jointly carry out research and development of aerospace technology, construction of science and education infrastructure, and transformation of scientific and technological achievements.

Zhu Junqiang, director of the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, She Chunming, secretary of the Binzhou Municipal Party Committee, Song Yongxiang, deputy secretary of the Binzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, Zhang Bo, chairman of Weiqiao Pioneering Group, and Gao Peng, dean of Binzhou Weiqiao–UCAS Research Academy of Advanced Technology, witnessed the signing.

Zhu Junqiang said that he hoped that by signing a cooperation agreement, a tree of friendship and cooperation would be planted, so that all parties to the cooperation could realize exchanges and cooperation in a wider range and achieve substantive results.

She Chunming said that the signing of the agreement was of milestone significance for all parties to the cooperation. The Party Committee and Government would fully support the tripartite cooperation, look forward to the fruits of cooperation, and inject new impetus into local economic development.

Zhang Bo said that Weiqiao Pioneering Group would go all out to provide all-round support, deepen project cooperation, and strive to complete project nodes on time, adding new momentum to the construction of Binzhou's "dual city".

Before signing the contract, Zheng Huilong, director of the New Technology Laboratory of the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, made a report on the cooperation content.
