On June 17, the world Top 500 company Shandong Weiqiao Pioneering Group and Baoan District signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement. The Group would invest about RMB 3 billion to build its Shenzhen headquarters in the central area of Baoan District. Yao Ren, secretary of Baoan District Party Committee, sent a message to the cooperation of the two sides --- "to chase the tide of the Bay Area and create a better tomorrow".

Wang Lide, deputy secretary of the District Party Committee and head of the District, presided over the signing ceremony. Zhang Bo, chairman of Shandong Weiqiao Pioneering Group, and Dong Jichang, vice president of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, attended the activity.

At the signing ceremony, Baoan District and Shandong Weiqiao Pioneering Group broadcasted promotional videos respectively and    jointly signed the strategic cooperation framework agreement. According to the agreement, Shandong Weiqiao Pioneering Group would invest about RMB 3 billion to build its Shenzhen headquarters in Baoan District, set up a group trading center, academic center, industrial finance and digital center, and carry out trade settlement of related materials and finished products in the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain.

Zhang Bo said that the Group would integrate the Group's advantageous business and resources, actively integrate into the construction of "core of the bay area, highland of intelligent innovation, shared home" in Baoan District, give full play to its industrial chain advantages in textile, aluminum and other fields, and work together with Baoan District to build a win-win development model of enterprise and city cooperation.
